Well. That was dreadful and nice at the same time.
Honest story, honest art.
Bittersweet~ Stumbled across your work recently and I am loving it. I'm becoming a fast fan
Look Ma -- No Crutches!
Ha - thank you, Kerry!
crueldad animal no es arte!!!
The fox was already dead. We found him on the road, where he had been hit by a car.
I understand, but it was necessary to do so, do you have sensitivity to animals?, but it's good when you draw something like clarify the rights of animals, because there are people who are sensitive to animal abuse, sorry my bad english No quiero cuestionarte, tus dibujos son hermosos, pero quisiera que entiendas que hay gente mala que tiene que entender los derechos de los animales y hay que hacer acuerdo de ello cuando se dibuja asi!!tu respuesta fue muy respetuosa y te agradezo !!!lamento ser tan sensible con el tema ayudo a una ong animalessinhogar.com.uy en uruguay
Creo que es muy bueno que usted se refiere a los animales. Gracias por tomar mi arte en serio.Although I'm worried about people being cruel to animals, I'm even more worried about the harm that comes to animals unintentionally through human carelessness and selfishness. To me the saddest thing is how many animals are mindlessly killed - like when they are hit by cars. To me, respectfully skinning a roadkill animal is a way to remember that the animal is real, and was alive and beautiful once, and something precious. It's not just a lump of trash next to the road, to be flattened by cars again and again until it's unrecognizable. I hope making art about a skinning can remind people of that as well.Thank you for your work protecting animals in Uruguay.
:) Thanks for understanding me, and I'm glad your thinking about animals.E visto tus trabajos y me han gustan mucho !!me inspiran a seguir dibujando como hobby :)
This is gorgeous and haunting. Really lovely. Really lovely.
I got chills looking at each panel - but I wanted to keep going. This is exquisitely beautiful and disturbing.
what is he doing in panel 3?(btw, my best read today. Thank you.)
I'm glad you like it! Do you mean the figure on the left in the image with the 4 people looking at the fox? That's me holding up a work light. It was night time.
This is horrifying.So sad. :(
Did you cure the pelt?
Not yet! It's been really rainy out so Lacey is waiting for a dry day. In the meanwhile the pelt is in my freezer.
Does Lacey have it now? Do you feel like you know how to skin a thing now? So many badass survivalist women! Maybe I actually am in a good place for the apocalypse.
Yes! Lacey has it (I think it's not in my freezer anymore!?). And Maggie & Lacey are definitely who I'm running too first after the rev... :P
Always a nice treat to see you've updated. Your art continues to inspire.
quite dreadful but its unique..
This is so beautiful somehow. You've captured this scene and my attention perfectly.
